Who we are

Ginseng Golf ("we", "us") is a personal tee-time assistant at ginsenggolf.com. It searches golf course reservation systems on your behalf, notifies you when tee times you asked us to watch become available, and books them when you tell it to.

Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, and (optionally) mobile phone number.
  • Course reservation credentials you choose to store, so we can search and book on your behalf. These are encrypted at rest.
  • Tee-time preferences, alerts, and booking history you create in the app.

How we use it

Solely to provide the service: searching tee sheets, making and canceling reservations you request, and sending you the notifications you enabled (email and/or SMS). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

SMS / text messaging

If you opt in to SMS notifications by adding your phone number and enabling SMS in Settings, we will send you transactional text messages about tee times you asked us to watch (availability alerts, booking confirmations, and expiry notices). Message frequency varies with your alerts; typically a few messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help, or disable SMS in Settings.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in and phone numbers collected for SMS consent are not shared with any third party, except our SMS delivery provider (Textbelt) solely to deliver the messages you requested.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers required to operate Ginseng Golf (hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery) and with the golf course reservation systems you connect — using your credentials, at your direction. We never share data for marketing.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and its data (including stored course credentials), email starter@ginsenggolf.com.
